Disney Conservation: Saving Coral Reefs

The main threats to corals are directly or indirectly caused by greenhouse gas emissions and ocean warming due to rising global average temperatures.

The Walt Disney Company is committed to saving wildlife and protecting the magic of nature together as a global community. Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund* has supported coral reef conservation efforts by protecting habitats around the world where coral reefs thrive.

As a part of its efforts to save wildlife, the Disney Conservation Fund and Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team have collaborated with experts in the Caribbean to invest in comprehensive research and taking action to create coral nurseries, limit harmful human contact around existing reefs and promote reef rehabilitation and ecosystem resilience.
